1. What kind of experience do you have as a photographer?
Hi I'm Tory but my clients often call me "the baby whisperer" - I'm a father of four and over the past 6+ years I've photographed hundreds of babies and families across Melbourne and regional Victoria. I am registered, insured and vaccinated to provide you comfort that your precious baby will be in safe hands.
I provide my clients with a boutique portrait experience and absolutely beautiful locally-crafted artwork.
2. What type of photography do you specialise in?
Babies are my speciality!
I love to photograph all major milestones to celebrate your new baby. Starting with your pregnancy, then we welcome your newborn baby. I also love to work with older babies at 6 months and first birthday cake smash celebrations too!
3. Where are you located?
My private boutique studio can be found in Werribee, just a few minutes from the Open Range Zoo and is open by appointment only. We have everything needed to create perfect portraits!
4. When should clients book their photography sessions?
As newborns are the most requested age to photograph, I can only take a limited number of appointments each month to allow for flexibility of due dates - after all, it's hard to to know exactly when "the day" will arrive!
For this reason it's important to register as early as possible - I always recommend to make contact when you enter your second trimester, to guarantee our availability.
5. What kind of prices and packages do you offer?
The newborn session fee is $250 and images can be purchased in collections starting from $700. Our most popular products include our keepsake box and Australian-made wall art.
6. How should customers prepare for their photography sessions?
The studio is ready for you! You really don't need to bring anything, except milk for your baby.
All the essentials are covered - including props, blankets, headbands, changing table, powder room, bottle warmer, spare nappies and wipes if needed and even some refreshments. All you need to do is bring your smile and enjoy the warm, relaxing studio.
I'll even email you a personalized preparation guide with tips for making the best clothing, hair and makeup choices.
7. What should customers expect during a photography session?
A newborn session is relaxing but fun too!
The session normally takes two-four hours and at the end you'll get to choose your favourite images to create a personalized collection. There's no need for a return visit and there's no hard sell - you just choose your favourites, design your artwork and away you go!
8. How do you ensure safety of the newborn during the session?
Safety is paramount!
I am a professional, registered photographer. I am also fully vaccinated and insured. Having photographed hundreds of babies and families, please find comfort that I've done this many, many times.
9. How soon will customers be able to get their photos?
After your session I will personally hand edit each image to perfection. This process is delicate and time consuming and once all post processing is complete your products will be ordered and crafted.
Your products are generally ready around four weeks after your session.
10. Do you have anything else you would like to tell us?
Babies grow and change but good quality portraits are forever. We believe your images should be printed and displayed, not just a USB lost in a drawer.
